Yesterday, my friend Cris and I spent five happy hours wandering through the Monterey Bay Aquarium while our husbands golfed. Neither of us had been there for years, since our (now adult) kids were quite young.
Our first stop was the giant Outer Bay exhibit, where we were mesmerized by the constantly changing patterns created by a school of sardines.
We must have watched for at least 45 minutes. Seriously. But that was only the beginning.
The most impressive exhibit, though? The Secret Lives of Seahorses. Seriously.
And the most impressive aquatic life? Leafy sea dragons!
So much to see...
And who knew that barnacles were such feathery creatures?
It was an excellent adventure!
