It started out Friday evening with the Girlie and her interest in amigurumi. She and her beau came over for dinner, and then we had to have a crochet lesson. She is gaga for crafting in her off hours, now that she has a place where she can spread out,and found this cute site for felted fleece doggies, too. I want to make one!
Saturday was an all-day knit-one-one outing. If you live in the Bay Area and have not come across this site yet, I highly recommend it. I haven't taken any of the classes, but our dear Rachael's taught a few. I had so much fun in Point Reyes Station on Saturday, getting to know Sile (pronounced Sheila) and Reuben and the rest of the gang, that I completely forgot to take photos. I also brought home a new nightie & blanket, some delicious goat cheese, brocciflower, the sweetest strawberries I've had since I was in Japan, and some yummy yarn.
The hanks are local handspun and the balls are a feltable wool that was on sale. It was clearly a green day.
Sunday, Yukari came over to finish the sweater she knit for The Tiny Man. You may recall, she is a new knitter (if you follow the link, scroll down to see her first project). The Tiny Man came in April, and is going on his first camping trip tomorrow, so he needs that sweater.
I finished the hat during the week.
And now, the gratuitous baby pictures:
